Located deep in the mountains of Weihai, Shandong province, we specialize in the teaching of traditional Chinese Kung Fu, including Tai Chi and Qigong to foreign students. Our school specializes in the following: Tai Chi, Praying Mantis Kung Fu, Shaolin Kung Fu, Bagua Zhang, Xing Yi, Qigong and Sanda.
Chinese martial arts can be divided rather conveniently into two categories Neijia (Internal, 内家) and Waijia (External, 外家).
This division serves only to highlight what form of training the style places particular emphasis on.
The training includes both external and internal training. The core focus of the training is on forms and applications. The forms are a set pattern of moves that teach various Kung Fu moves and skills. Then in the application class, students learn how to use the moves from the forms.
When you book your training at Weihai Kung Fu Academy you will get the whole package. We will provide 3 meals a day, spacious accomodation (private or double) and of course the training of a wide range of different martial arts styles with the best masters.
Master Qu is an eighth Generation Tai Chi Plum Blossom Mantis Fist and sixth Generation Yin Style Ba Gua Zhang Master. Furthermore, Master Qu has reached his 6th Duan in Chinese Martial Arts. Most times there are at least 2 masters teaching at our academy.
Many schools have classes of 20+ students per teacher. Personal time with the teachers to help each student improve and develop is nearly impossible. At our school, a familiar relationship between all the students and the teachers is our goal. We are one big family and help each other. Our school is small, which means that you`ll receive a huge amount of personalised instruction from teachers who will personally invest themselves in your growth and development. We welcome all levels of students and all ages. It's never too late to start learning new things.
Headmaster Qu has over 30 years of martial arts experience and in additon to that we have other very qualified guest masters teaching at our academy.
You can train more than 10 different styles of Chinese martial arts or healing arts. The choice is yours. Feel free to ask us which style is best suited for you.
There are hundreds of applications which teach the practical use of a specific movement in a form. We will practice them together.
